documenting since forever

I’m Leilani, a photographer of seven years based in Portland, Oregon and Northern California. I’m passionate about storytelling and have found myself documenting since I was a little girl through scrapbooking, writing and photography. It’s sacred to me. Documenting helps me process, it offers me a widened perspective on life, and keeps me grounded and present. It’s a pivotal part of who I am and is the special element that distinguishes my work.

Every individual has a story worth telling— the hardships, wins, grief, and celebrations are all shared experiences that make life purposeful. I believe photos act as a vehicle to connecting us to the most precious moments of life. My ultimate hope is to capture photographs that transcend time and continue to make an impact for years to come.
